Jim Thompson Marine Carpentry, a yacht restoration and refitting specialist, needed to machine a complex mounting bracket from hardened steel with a unique 5-degree ramped keyway. The challenge was to program their CNC machine for this difficult part, a task their new CNC operator, David St. Angelo, had to learn from scratch.
