AirShip Ribs, a boat building company, needed to create a complex master core plug for a windshield support for its model 310 craft. To machine this large and intricate part efficiently, they utilized the RhinoCAM plugin from MecSoft Corporation integrated with their Rhinoceros CAD software.

MecSoft's RhinoCAM enabled the programming of the part using indexed 5-axis machining, which required 11 different setup zones to be completed on their 5-axis machining center. This solution from MecSoft allowed AirShip Ribs to successfully produce the high-quality core plug used in their composite layup process, resulting in the final assembled component for their advanced boat.
