Case Study: VMware achieves streamlined sustainability project tracking and accelerated carbon‑neutral, 100% renewable goals with Measurabl

A Measurabl Case Study

Preview of the VMware Case Study

How VMware uses Measurabl to track sustainability projects across their Silicon Valley corporate headquarters

VMware, a global leader in cloud networking and digital infrastructure, needed better, more consistent sustainability data across its Silicon Valley headquarters and multiple sites. Sustainability Manager Natasha Tuck found VMware’s previous software too complex for day-to-day tracking, so the company adopted the Measurabl platform to give site managers an easy, consistent way to log projects, costs, and savings.

Measurabl’s simple interface centralized VMware’s locations, enabled measurement and visualization of progress, and provided granular insights to spot data gaps and anomalies. Using Measurabl, VMware tracked renewable-energy and carbon-reduction projects that helped earn a CDP A‑List placement in 2017, achieve Certified Carbon Neutral status in 2018 (two years ahead of plan), and reach 100% renewable energy — while positioning the company to pursue net-positive initiatives.
