TeleTech Cuts Healthcare Costs and Reduces Employee ER Usage with MDLIVE

TeleTech Holdings, Inc. (TTEC), a global provider of customer experience and a self-insured employer with nearly 8,000 call center employees, faced rising use of emergency rooms and urgent care for non-emergency ailments that drove up costs and lost productivity. To give employees a cost-effective, convenient alternative, TeleTech partnered with MDLIVE to offer 24/7 virtual access to board-certified physicians via phone or secure video.

MDLIVE deployed its telehealth service across TeleTech’s two employee plans with low co-pays, enabling fast virtual visits and robust enrollment and reporting support. As a result, TeleTech realized gross savings of $418,727 to date (about $204 per registered employee), a 4.6% reduction in ER use at one large site, and a 79.7% utilization rate among registered users, while improving access, convenience, and employee satisfaction — outcomes driven and supported by MDLIVE.
