Carpathia, a QTS Company, operates the flagship data center “The Vault” in Sterling, VA, serving government clients with highly sensitive data. To protect this federally compliant facility, the company needed a more advanced security management system with strong access control, CCTV, and intrusion monitoring. MCW Solutions was brought in to help address these security requirements.

MCW Solutions implemented a new security management system with biometric and card-based access control, IP cameras, and intrusion alarm coverage. The project included biometric hand readers, a laser curtain topper to expand the cages, and integration of the new cameras and hand geometry readers into the existing SMS and video recording system. As a result, Carpathia strengthened protection for its data center, and the system continues to expand as security needs evolve.
