American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO), a nonprofit association in Arlington, VA, needed a major audiovisual and security build-out for its office expansion, including a divisible room, multiple conference and meeting rooms, collaborative areas, a server room, and the reception area. MCW Solutions was brought in to design and install the AV and access control systems needed to support flexible presentations, teleconferencing, and secure building access.

MCW Solutions delivered ceiling-mounted projectors and screens, a centralized video switching system, wireless microphone systems, touch-screen room controls, and overflow AV routing for the divisible room and adjacent spaces. The company also installed and commissioned a card-reader-based access control system with door contacts, request-to-exit sensors, locks, cabling, and staff training. The project improved room flexibility, audio/video quality, and security, and it was recognized with CREW DC’s Best Interior Design Project award.
