A McLaren Software Case Study
MD Anderson Cancer Center’s Facilities Management Group, which centrally oversees 30 buildings across greater Houston and central Texas (about 14 sq. miles) and plans a 400% expansion, faced a major document-control challenge: more than 400,000 real-estate documents existed as static snapshots, multiple project teams were making simultaneous infrastructure changes, and annual on-site surveys were labor‑intensive—resulting in errors, rework, delays and added costs.
McLaren Enterprise implemented a centralized Building Information Vault and formalized document-control processes (engineering review/approval, change control, redlining and handover), managing drawings, models and related files while giving project teams immediate, accurate access. The deployment cut project rework by 60%, reduced on-site surveying labor by 72%, and provided controlled documentation to support the planned fourfold growth.
