Strabag, one of Germany and Austria’s largest construction firms, was appointed lead contractor for the €100m Highlight Business Towers project in Munich by architects Murphy/Jahn. When Strabag required McLaren Software’s on-demand collaboration platform as a project standard, the team faced a fast, whole-project migration of roughly 2,000 drawings and documents and a critical technical challenge: CAD Xref links had to be preserved during upload under a tight timetable.

McLaren dedicated technical and training teams to migrate the data, train users in person and via web conferencing, and quickly developed upload functionality that identified and retained Xref links. The result was rapid project startup with instant access to current information for all parties, reduced courier and telephone costs, faster reprographics and RFI handling via an integrated Process Manager, and improved transparency and status tracking across the international project team.
