East Thames Group, the largest housing association in east London, partnered with Bellway Homes to deliver the £75m Harford Street mixed-use development of about 500 homes and a community hub. The fast, multi-phase programme involved numerous stakeholders (internal departments, Bellway, Ocean NDC, City Gateway, Tower Hamlets PCT and others), creating huge volumes of documentation, complex cross-party communications and a need to standardise processes, reduce errors and maintain auditability without a large IT investment.

McLaren Software supplied an on-demand, browser-based document management and collaboration platform (including RFI handling) used by around 15 companies and up to 40 users to centralise information and workflows. The solution delivered consistent document control, structured query handling, version history and improved visibility — cutting construction build time by 15%, reducing paper/post/courier costs, minimizing errors and rework, and providing an auditable archive across design and construction phases.
