Environmental Education Leader in Arizona Tackles Building Performance Optimization with McKinstry Collaboration

Northern Arizona University (NAU), a leader in environmental education, sought to improve the energy efficiency and building performance of its campus as part of its commitment to achieving carbon neutrality. To tackle this challenge and better understand its facility conditions, NAU collaborated with vendor McKinstry.

McKinstry implemented a multi-phase Facility Condition Assessment (FCA) using its Reveal™ dashboard and provided Existing Building Commissioning (EBCx) and Master Systems Integration (MSI) services. The solution allowed NAU to better manage capital planning, modernize control systems, and improve operational efficiency. The EBCx program alone is expected to offset annual energy costs by over $100,000. McKinstry's work is helping NAU reduce its environmental footprint and advance its ambitious sustainability goals.
