WNS Global Services Fortifies Security by Implementing Hybrid Web Gateway

WNS Global Services, a global business process management company with 20,000+ endpoints across 46 delivery centers, needed to better protect sensitive data and defend against web-borne malware while meeting strict compliance requirements such as PCI, HIPAA, and Sarbanes-Oxley. The company’s previous web proxy could not deliver strong protection without hurting performance, and secure 24/7 access for both on-premises and off-premises users was a key requirement. McAfee provided the web security technology, including McAfee Web Gateway and McAfee Web Gateway Cloud Service.

McAfee implemented a hybrid web gateway solution, paired with McAfee Client Proxy, so WNS users would receive consistent security policies whether inside or outside the corporate network. Managed through a single McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator console, the solution improved visibility, simplified administration, and made compliance and audit processes easier. WNS reported granular policy control, centralized management across more than 20,000 endpoints, and strong efficiency, with the Web Gateway using only about five percent of capacity.
