Thwarting Ransomware by Migrating to McAfee Endpoint Security

Norrköpings Municipality, a Swedish local government organization supporting 140,000 residents and managing 14,000 endpoints across administration and schools, needed to stop ransomware and other malware without overwhelming its small IT team. To improve protection and simplify administration, the municipality turned to McAfee Endpoint Security and McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO).

McAfee implemented a streamlined, single-agent endpoint security approach using McAfee Complete Endpoint Threat Protection, including Real Protect and Dynamic Application Containment, and the migration to McAfee Endpoint Security was completed across 14,000 nodes in about a week. As a result, Norrköpings Municipality reported a dramatic reduction in infected systems and ransomware attacks, easier day-to-day security management, and lower operational burden for its small security staff.
