Swedish City Saves 40 Hours per Week by Migrating to Endpoint Security

The City of Gothenburg, a Swedish city of about one million residents, needed stronger endpoint protection without hurting performance across its 43,000-node IT environment. After moving away from a competing product, the city returned to McAfee because of its easier management through McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator, but still wanted lighter-weight, more effective protection against malware and web-based threats.

McAfee implemented McAfee Endpoint Security along with McAfee MOVE AntiVirus, managed centrally through McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator. The migration of 35,000 desktops was completed in about a month and resulted in fewer infections, easier administration, and much faster scanning with no user impact. The City of Gothenburg said it now saves about 40 hours per week on remediation, while also reducing help desk calls and strengthening defenses for both physical and virtual systems.
