Sutherland Global Services, a global business process and technology management provider with more than 30,000 employees across 40+ locations in 14 countries, needed a way to protect sensitive data and maintain cost-effective PCI and HIPAA compliance across a highly distributed environment. McAfee helped address this challenge with integrated security products including endpoint protection, encryption, data loss prevention, change control, and centralized management through McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO).

Using McAfee, Sutherland secured more than 24,000 endpoints, 1,000 servers, 9,000 virtual desktops, and 1,500 laptops while managing the environment with just a two-person security team. The solution delivered near-automatic compliance reporting, proactive threat notifications, and strong data protection, resulting in viruses becoming virtually non-existent and reducing the company to about one virus attack per year that could be quickly contained.
