Deutsche Edelstahlwerke Secures Production Systems and Overall IT Environment with McAfee

Deutsche Edelstahlwerke, a leading producer of specialty stainless steel products, needed to keep its production systems available while protecting high-value data across four manufacturing sites. The manufacturing company turned to McAfee, using McAfee Endpoint Protection Suite, McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (McAfee ePO), McAfee Web Protection, and McAfee Integrity Control to strengthen security across more than 2,200 desktops and critical production environments.

McAfee helped Deutsche Edelstahlwerke centralize security management and protect newly networked production systems without disrupting performance. McAfee ePO quickly detected malware on previously isolated Windows XP-based systems, including threats introduced via USB drives, and McAfee Integrity Control used whitelisting to block unauthorized traffic while safeguarding more than 300 production systems. The result was faster threat detection, improved protection for critical data, and one centralized console for managing the company’s security ecosystem.
