Case Study: CEMEX improves global endpoint security and visibility with McAfee

A McAfee Case Study

Preview of the CEMEX Case Study

A Security Connected Approach to Endpoint and Network Security at CEMEX

CEMEX, a global building materials manufacturer operating in 50 countries with around 25,000 endpoints, needed a better way to safeguard its expanding security environment. With a mixed-vendor setup and limited visibility across systems, the company struggled to manage policies efficiently and protect endpoints, networks, and sensitive data against increasingly sophisticated threats. McAfee was brought in to help simplify and strengthen endpoint and perimeter security.

McAfee implemented a Security Connected platform centered on McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO), along with VirusScan Enterprise, Host Intrusion Prevention, Application Control, Host Data Loss Prevention, Endpoint Encryption, Global Threat Intelligence, Web Gateway, and other services. The solution gave CEMEX centralized management, stronger protection against zero-day and advanced persistent threats, and streamlined policy control across more than 26,000 endpoints, while also reducing administrative effort and helping block millions of malicious web requests each month.
