A McGraw Hill Case Study
The College of Health Care Professions (CHCP) serves predominantly low-income, working adults—many single parents—who struggle to afford long breaks from work while pursuing credentials. To meet these constraints CHCP adopted an adaptive learning platform, McGraw-Hill Connect, to enable a blended, flexible delivery model that supports stackable credentials and condensed clinical bootcamps so students can learn while they work.
Using McGraw Hill’s Connect as the backbone of its blended courses, CHCP paired adaptive content with strong advising, employer-aligned stackable credentials, and hands-on externships. The results are measurable: retention rates of 82% (residential) and 78% (online), job placement above 80%, a 98% student satisfaction score, and many students doubling their salaries within a year—one graduate, Jestina King, was promoted to $21+/hour (~$43,680/year). McGraw Hill’s Connect helped CHCP scale these flexible pathways and workforce outcomes while serving more than 20,000 people in Texas.
