Norwegian University of Science and Technology reaches 12.5 million MazeMap sessions a year

The Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) faced a significant challenge in helping its 44,000 students and staff navigate its 17 campuses and 144 buildings across 700,000 square meters of space. Existing maps were insufficient, making it difficult to locate lecture halls, meeting rooms, and other facilities. To solve this, NTNU implemented the MazeMap indoor wayfinding service.

MazeMap utilized NTNU's existing floor plans and WiFi infrastructure to create a digital navigation tool that provides real-time, blue-dot positioning. The solution was highly successful, achieving over 12.5 million user sessions in 2022. MazeMap's implementation led to remarkable time savings, projected to free up 3,000 hours annually for students and staff, significantly enhancing overall campus efficiency.
