Cisco, a major technology company, utilized MazeMap's Find My Friends service to address the challenge of locating colleagues and fellow attendees within the massive, crowded environment of their Cisco Live Barcelona event, which hosted 12,000 people. The difficulty of finding specific individuals in such a large and noisy venue was causing significant frustration and wasting time for attendees.

MazeMap's solution used the existing Cisco CMX and Wi-Fi infrastructure to provide real-time indoor positioning, allowing users to voluntarily form groups and see each other's locations on a map while maintaining privacy. The implementation was a major success; over 9,000 of the event's attendees used the Find My Friends service, creating 1,400 groups and effectively eliminating the previous frustrations associated with navigating the conference.
