A MazeMap Case Study
The Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) sought to improve the student experience, reduce time wasted on wayfinding, and cut operational costs related to outdated physical signage and manned information desks. To address these interconnected challenges, the university partnered with the vendor MazeMap to implement its interactive wayfinding and space booking solutions.
MazeMap provided an interactive mapping platform accessible on multiple devices, integrated with the university's systems to offer real-time directions and visualize space availability. The results were significant; employees saved an average of three minutes per meeting, amounting to annual cost savings of 540,000 Euros. The solution also reduced dependency on expensive, manned information desks and physical signage, allowing resources to be allocated elsewhere. Furthermore, MazeMap was voted the most important service by the university's students.
