How usability testing helps Zengenti win and deliver projects

Zengenti, a UK-based content management software company that works mainly with public sector clients, struggled to convince stakeholders that usability testing was worth the time and cost. To address this, Zengenti adopted Maze’s unmoderated usability testing — using its click heatmaps and analytics integrated with Sketch and InVision prototypes — to show concrete research and testing results during pitches.

Using Maze, Zengenti ran early prototype tests with real users, gathered heatmaps and task analytics, and iterated quickly; Maze revealed a card-navigation issue (users clicked the wrong spot), which was fixed by moving a tag about 100px, avoiding what could have become months of poor user behavior. Maze’s evidence-based reports helped Zengenti win projects, secure faster stakeholder sign-off, and deliver validated designs with clear, measurable fixes.
