Case Study: Streetline achieves resilient, cost-effective stateful Kubernetes with MayaData's OpenEBS

A MayaData Case Study

Preview of the Streetline Case Study

Streetline - Customer Case Study

Streetline, a smart‑parking technology provider, needed to modernize its infrastructure from VM‑based deployments to on‑premises Kubernetes while also supporting stateful workloads and keeping customer data segregated from public cloud providers. After evaluating options, Streetline selected OpenEBS from MayaData as the container‑attached storage solution to run databases and other stateful services on their Kubernetes clusters.

MayaData’s OpenEBS was deployed rapidly on vanilla Kubernetes running on Ubuntu VMs in vSphere and proved resilient in failure tests while supporting Redis, MySQL, Elasticsearch, GitLab and other workloads. The OpenEBS deployment — backed by active community/Slack support — delivered measurable benefits for Streetline, including cost savings, increased operational control, faster feature delivery and higher confidence running stateful services on Kubernetes; per‑workload backup and migration capabilities are also being rolled into upcoming OpenEBS releases and MayaOnline.
