Case Study: Reaction Dynamics achieves faster, cheaper smallsat launches with Maya HTT and Simcenter

A Maya HTT Case Study

Reaction Dynamics launches small satellites 2–4x more affordably with Maya HTT

Reaction Dynamics (RDX), a company developing innovative hybrid rocket engines for small satellite launches, faced the challenge of scaling its design and manufacturing processes to offer faster and more affordable access to space. To overcome this, they partnered with vendor Maya HTT to implement Siemens' Simcenter, an end-to-end simulation and design solution, which provided the integrated tools needed for complex analysis and rapid iteration.

By deploying the Simcenter platform through Maya HTT, RDX was able to templatize its rocket designs, drastically reduce development cycle times, and optimize components like composite structures. This solution delivered significant results, allowing RDX to achieve costs 2–4 times lower than the competition and scale its operations efficiently using flexible token licensing. The partnership with Maya HTT provided the critical engineering software and support that enabled RDX to offer an unmatched combination of price, reliability, and agility in the small satellite launch market.
