A very large Palo Alto, CA law firm with more than 1,000 clients was managing client data in Excel, which made IDS tracking difficult and increased the risk of missing references, duplication, and errors in citations, dates, and country codes. Timely IDS generation was tedious for attorneys and paralegals, and the firm needed a better way to manage reference repositories and cross-citation rules.

MaxVal implemented Max-IDS, a custom database for the firm and its clients, with imported references, standardized formats, search tools, comparison charts, and EFS-ready document output. After the initial upload, the firm managed the portfolio on its own and generated more than 300 IDSes every month, while IDS-related costs were reduced up to 50%.
