Maxta Hyperconvergence Scales and Flexes to Support Hyper-growth of Technical Support Services Firm

Trusource Labs LLC, a fast-growing technical support services firm for IoT and Apple device customers that has grown to more than 600 employees, faced a critical infrastructure challenge: its legacy single-server, flat-network VM environment could not scale with rapid business growth. Concerned about the high cost and operational complexity of SANs and proprietary HCI appliances, Trusource evaluated options and selected Maxta’s hardware-independent MxSP® hyperconvergence software to deliver the capacity, flexibility and lower TCO it needed.

Maxta implemented an MxSP-enabled three-node HCI cluster on Dell PowerEdge R530 servers (each with dual Intel Xeon processors, one 800GB Intel SSD DC S3610 and six 1TB HDDs), giving Trusource a single-pane UI for storage and VM management, enterprise-class resiliency and the ability to hot-swap hardware without downtime. The Maxta solution let Trusource remotely manage infrastructure, avoid costly SAN investments and reduce onsite staffing needs, keeping operating expenses low; as a result, the company is rolling out additional MxSP clusters to several locations over the next six months to support continued growth.
