A Maxta Case Study

Preview of the Driscoll’s Case Study

A leading Multinational Food Services company deploys Maxta Storage for Remote Offices/ Distribution Centers IT infrastructure

Driscoll’s, the leading fresh‑berry producer and distributor, needed to virtualize and simplify IT at dozens of remote offices and distribution centers while keeping costs, footprint, and local IT overhead low. Faced with limited branch IT resources and the prohibitive CAPEX/OPEX of traditional arrays, Driscoll’s selected Maxta and its Maxta Storage Platform (MxSP) to provide shared, VM‑centric storage integrated with their VMware vSphere environment.

Maxta deployed MxSP on standard servers and commodity storage, delivering high availability, VM‑level snapshots/clones, and centralized management from the vSphere client. The solution reduced remote site complexity and enabled remote centralized administration, yielding a 55% reduction in CAPEX and an 85% reduction in OPEX while increasing data availability and providing simple, scale‑out growth.
