The Felix Project Turns to Maxoptra to Help Deliver Christmas Food to Vulnerable People

The Felix Project, a London-based charity that collects surplus food and redistributes it to vulnerable people, needed a more efficient way to plan and manage its growing collection and delivery network, especially during the busy Christmas period. To support this mission, it turned to Maxoptra’s automated multi-drop vehicle routing and scheduling software.

With Maxoptra, The Felix Project can automatically plan supplier collections and charity deliveries based on opening times, food readiness, driving hours, mileage and cost, while updating routes and ETAs in real time. Maxoptra helped the charity improve efficiency and maximize food deliveries, supporting a scale of more than 800 collections a month, 851 deliveries to 120 charities, and 10 tonnes of food delivered each week.
