Sofology, the UK sofa retailer with six distribution centres and more than 70 commercial vehicles, needed better visibility and flexibility in its delivery operation. Its previous centralised planning system could not easily account for local knowledge or real-time incidents, and it wanted a more cost-effective routing solution that could work with its existing TomTom telematics setup.
Maxoptra implemented its dynamic vehicle routing and scheduling platform across Sofology’s regional depots to plan and dispatch all deliveries, with route customisation, track-and-trace visibility, and integration with TomTom WEBFLEET. Maxoptra gave Sofology greater operational flexibility, easier sharing of real-time information, and the potential for lower costs and improved customer service across more than 500 deliveries a day.
