A Maxoptra Case Study
WIRUlink, a fast-growing South African telecom provider, needed to improve the efficiency of its installation and service teams. Previously, jobs were assigned on a first-come, first-served basis without regard to location, which caused unnecessary travel, wasted time, and higher costs. WIRUlink turned to Maxoptra’s cloud-based dynamic route planning and scheduling software, integrated with TomTom in-cab telematics devices, to address these challenges.
With Maxoptra, WIRUlink automated route optimisation, sent orders directly to drivers, and used live traffic data to re-route vehicles and keep customers informed of delays. The results included lower mileage, better visibility across the fleet and orders, and a major productivity gain that enabled, on average, twice as many new customer installations each day. Maxoptra also proved easy to implement, with WIRUlink self-integrating the system with TomTom devices and other back-office systems.
