Leekes, one of the UK’s leading independent retailers, needed a better way to manage a complex nationwide home delivery operation. With more than a thousand deliveries a week across multiple regional centres, the company was relying on a largely manual, paper-based planning process that was time-consuming and difficult to scale. Maxoptra’s route planning and delivery scheduling software was chosen to help automate the process.

Maxoptra integrated with Leekes’ sales order system to automatically import order locations, optimise routes based on vehicle capacity and customer requests, and calculate accurate ETAs. Leekes implemented the hosted solution via Maxoptra’s API without external support and reported saving up to two hours of planning time per day. The system also enabled additional deliveries without extra resources, improved route flexibility, and laid the groundwork for better customer service through shorter delivery windows and online tracking.
