Large Multinational Miner - Customer Case Study

The customer, a gold mine in Western Australia operated by a large multinational miner, was challenged by high variation in haul truck payloads. This led to lower average payloads, reduced total material movement, and frequent overloading events that damaged equipment and hurt productivity. They worked with MaxMine and used its productivity solution to address this.

MaxMine first conducted an optimal payload study and then rolled out its operator scoring metrics to objectively measure shovel operators. This reduced payload variation and allowed the site to safely increase its payload targets. As a result, MaxMine helped the client achieve an 8% increase in average payload, improved operator conformance, and reduced the frequency of overload events.
