Boating World Races to Business Success Using CRM

Boating World, founded in 1999 and based in Cape Town and Durban, is South Africa’s leading importer of luxury motor yachts, sailing boats and catamarans. Rapid growth exposed weaknesses in their manual customer-tracking processes (originally a T‑card system) and limited use of CRM capabilities, leading to inconsistent lead capture, poor pipeline visibility and ad hoc after‑sales follow‑up.

Working with Camsoft to deploy Maximizer CRM and train the whole team, Boating World expanded CRM use from about 10% to roughly 80% of its features. A centralized database of 4,000+ records, custom qualifying fields, Hotlist tasks, job cards for servicing, dashboards and email integration have automated lead handling, stopped prospects falling through the cracks, improved sales productivity and after‑sales service, increased business value and provided clearer performance insights — with ongoing work to automate website lead capture and leverage the mobile app.
