Xerox Business Services, which administers NJ FamilyCare, was facing a highly labor-intensive document processing operation involving more than 5,500 application packages and 1,600 faxes each week. The work required 31 FTEs and extensive manual controls to maintain quality, creating a need for greater efficiency and faster turnaround. Xerox turned to Mavro Imaging and its document imaging and processing technology to modernize the workflow.
Mavro Imaging implemented a solution using an Opex AS3690 scanner and modules from its MavBridge Solution Suite, including automated routing, classification, fax import, and real-time dashboard reporting. The result was a reduction in staffing from 31 FTEs to 10, monthly savings of more than $40,000, and annual savings of $480,000, with payback achieved in one quarter. Xerox also saw document availability improve by four hours, along with better image quality, higher job satisfaction, and improved management visibility into production.
