Mavro Helps Boys Town Create a Versatile “Imaging Center” for Processing Donations, Forms, and Documents

Boys Town, a nonprofit organization in Nebraska, needed to replace a 10-year-old lockbox system that had a single point of failure and could only process simple check-and-stub donations. The organization wanted a more versatile image-based workflow that could handle many payment and document types, support PCI compliance, integrate with donor, warehouse, and accounting systems, and reduce manual sorting of paper. Mavro Imaging provided the solution, using its MavBridge software along with existing OPEX extractors and new scanners.

Mavro Imaging implemented an image-based “Imaging Center” that automatically opens, scans, classifies, and routes donations and related documents, while sending data and images to Boys Town’s Blackbaud CRM, accounting systems, and data warehouse. The solution added Check 21 electronic deposit, redaction for PCI compliance, dashboard monitoring, and Smart Track batch tracking, eliminating manual paper handling and the prior single point of failure. As a result, Boys Town improved productivity, gained system-wide visibility, and was able to extend the platform to other paper-based processes across the organization.
