Case Study: Harlequin streamlines transaction processing and improves customer service with Mavro Imaging

A Mavro Imaging Case Study

Harlequin’s New Mavro System Streamlines Complex Transaction Processing and Improves Operations with Analytics & Monitoring Tools

Harlequin, a leading publisher of books for women, needed a more versatile and transparent transaction processing system for its Buffalo fulfillment center, which handles 8,000 to 10,000 mail pieces a day and peaks of 25,000. Its old process relied on manual sorting across more than 20 categories, offered little monitoring, and made it hard for customer service to access transaction images or eliminate paper-check couriering. Mavro Imaging was selected to replace that environment with a more efficient remittance and document imaging solution.

Mavro Imaging implemented a system using Opex AS7200i scanners, two existing Kodak i4200 scanners, and Mavro’s Software Suite, including One-Touch Processing, Smart Batching, Quick Review, MavBridge Dashboard, and MavBridge Connect. The result was the elimination of labor-intensive hand sorting, real-time monitoring and reporting, faster customer service resolution, and electronic deposit capabilities that removed the need to courier checks in the US and Canada. Harlequin also gained faster funds availability through Image Cash Letter deposit and a custom Canadian X9 file process developed with TD Bank.
