JOEY creates a bespoke lighting centerpiece for a 19,000 sq ft Toronto flagship with Matthew McCormick Studio

The design team at JOEY, a restaurant chain, engaged Matthew McCormick Studio to create a showstopping focal point for their new flagship location in downtown Toronto. Their challenge was to design a one-of-a-kind, bespoke installation that would be visible from the street and complement the restaurant's lush, oasis-like interior theme.

Matthew McCormick Studio developed a high-impact installation using their customizable Arras system. This involved creating a main gold mesh fixture above the bar that mirrored organic greenery, along with a secondary vine-like piece above the kitchen. The result was a magical centerpiece that provided sparkle and whimsy, perfectly achieving the design team's goal of creating a spectacular and visible showstopper for the new 19,000 square foot space.
