Réseau de Transport Électrique (RTE), France’s manager of electrical infrastructure, needed a better way to coordinate crisis communications after a major substation fire exposed delays in its phone-and-email-based incident response. To improve reactivity and reporting during outages, RTE turned to Mattermost for secure, centralized collaboration.

With Mattermost, RTE now notifies field and crisis teams in real time, shares incident updates and photos from the field, and keeps maintenance, communications, and sales teams aligned during outages. The vendor’s platform has helped RTE reduce incident management time and improve responsiveness, and it continues to use Mattermost Playbooks and Calls to refine crisis processes.
