Helping Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America eliminate their fax machines

Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America (PMMA), a nonprofit senior‑living organization serving more than 2,300 residents across 17 communities and hospices, needed to replace scattered physical fax machines with a HIPAA‑compliant, MatrixCare‑compatible electronic faxing and Direct messaging solution to centralize audits, secure PHI, and reduce equipment and labor costs. To meet those requirements they selected Kno2 and its Interoperability as a Service (IaaS) offering.

Kno2 delivered cloud faxing and Direct secure messaging integrated with MatrixCare, establishing a centralized, auditable workflow, encrypted storage and transmission, and a phased rollout completed in April 2019. The Kno2 deployment ported 86 fax numbers, processes 10,000+ messages per month, removed fax capability from 70+ devices, and yields estimated savings of about $200,000 per month (~$2.4M per year) while making documentation available to clinical staff immediately.
