Renesas Electronics, a global microchip supplier, needed to replace its existing help‑desk and linked Notes database on a tight six‑month schedule. The company wanted a highly automated ticketing system with interfaces to other internal databases and better software distribution; after evaluating options they selected Matrix42 Corporate as the new help‑desk and workspace management solution.

Matrix42 implemented the Matrix42 Corporate Suite — including the Matrix42 Service Desk, Service Catalog (self‑service portal), software distribution and Asset & License Management — and integrated it with Renesas’ other systems. The rollout covered 1,250+ European workspaces, automated new‑starter and leaver workflows (handling ~250 consultants annually), improved data quality and ITIL compliance, reduced administrator workload, consolidated software versions (e.g., many Firefox variants into one) and delivered clear license compliance — all deployed within the six‑month target by Matrix42.
