Increasing the value of IT service management in the data center at Raiffeisen Landesbank Kärnten

Raiffeisen Landesbank Kärnten, the regional bank and IT service provider for Kärnten Raiffeisen banks, was operating a 20‑year‑old Lotus Notes ticketing system and lacked standardized change and license management. In 2015 the bank chose Matrix42—building on its long‑standing use of Matrix42 UEM Empirum—to modernize IT service management with Matrix42 Enterprise Service Management and the Matrix42 Service Desk.

Working with Matrix42 and partner Cubefinity, the data center replaced the RAI‑REM complaints system, modernized its online shop, and introduced standardized change, license and asset management alongside the Matrix42 Service Portal and Power BI reporting. The Matrix42 implementation centralized workflows, enabled lifecycle management of about 320 self‑service devices, delivered full service transparency and audit‑ready documentation, and sped up approvals and license reporting—transforming operations from 2016–2021 and significantly reducing manual effort.
