How we're helping Sprinkenhof standardize and automate their IT service processes

Sprinkenhof, the central commercial real estate company of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, faced a rapidly growing, heterogeneous IT landscape with limited IT resources and the need to standardize, automate and prepare its infrastructure for ISO/IEC 27001 certification. To meet these requirements Sprinkenhof selected Matrix42, deploying solutions such as Empirum for asset and patch management, Silverback Mobile Device Management for its iPhone rollout, License- and Contract Management and Matrix42 Endpoint Security (EgoSecure) to create a comprehensive, scalable workspace and IT service management platform.

Matrix42, working with implementation partner Imbit GmbH, rolled out Empirum and a ticketing system, built automated workflows for software installation and a Windows 10 rollout, and used Silverback to link device serial numbers and SIMs to employees for simplified onboarding/offboarding. The result was standardized hardware and software, much greater transparency over IT assets, accelerated IT processes and reduced manual effort; many ISO/IEC 27001 requirements were met through built‑in automation and Sprinkenhof achieved ISO/IEC 27001 certification in February 2020, with ticketing later extended to three customers and EgoSecure in final rollout.
