Agile IT services for a better work environment

The Chamber of Labor (Upper Austrian Chamber of Labor, AK OÖ), which represents over 650,000 members, struggled with a rigid helpdesk, cumbersome deployment processes, and poor integration with SCCM that made provisioning new devices and software slow and inflexible. After market research they selected Matrix42 and its software platform—notably Matrix42 Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) and Matrix42 IT Service Management—to replace the legacy service desk and centralize endpoint and service management.

Matrix42 implemented UEM for software distribution, packaging and patching, and deployed the Matrix42 Service Desk/ITSM integrated with Active Directory and existing systems, enabling about 20 mapped service processes and self-service workflow creation. As a result, hardware costs for distribution points fell by roughly €70,000 (about 75%), distribution machines now run nearly twice as long, workflow adjustment effort dropped 80%, packaging time was halved, new device setup time fell from ~2 hours to 45 minutes, and users and IT gain real-time transparency into request status.
