Mooresville CSC adds virtualization to reduce data center and IT costs

Mooresville Consolidated School Corporation, a large K-12 district, needed to modernize its aging IT environment while dealing with limited funding, limited space, and growing classroom technology demands. Working with Matrix Integration, the district looked for virtualization and desktop virtualization solutions to reduce hardware costs and support more applications and services without expanding its physical infrastructure.

Matrix Integration delivered and configured three HPE P2000 SAN arrays, five HPE ProLiant DL585 servers, and VMware software including vSphere 4 Enterprise Plus, View Composer, View Manager, and Virtual Center. Matrix Integration also helped repurpose existing PCs as end clients and created two ThinApp packages, enabling Mooresville Consolidated School Corporation to increase services without adding IT staff or costs while improving infrastructure support and reliability.
