Memorial Hospital worked with Matrix Integration to modernize its communications environment after finding that its legacy proprietary phone system was too limited to adapt and expand. The old phones also did not work throughout the entire facility, creating communication gaps for nurses moving between buildings and slowing response in a time-critical healthcare setting.

Matrix Integration helped Memorial Hospital implement a converged network with voice over IP and wireless communications devices, including Cisco Nurse Connect integrated with the existing nurse call system. The new system improved emergency routing for Code Blue events, enabled hands-free conference calling and Rapid Call assistance, and helped staff reach the right people faster; Memorial Hospital is now expanding the solution throughout the hospital to further improve operations.
