Duo Co Telephone, serving Jamestown, KY and the Southern Kentucky region for more than 60 years, needed to refresh its data center environment while reducing its footprint, cutting expenses, and eliminating cooling costs. Matrix Integration had already helped the company virtualize 70 servers down to five, but the customer wanted to take the next step with a more compact and efficient infrastructure.

Matrix Integration delivered a custom HPE VSA Hyperconverged Architecture using Veeam and VMware, consolidating Duo County’s environment into just three servers. The new hyperconverged platform combined SAN and compute in one system, made administration easier, and was three times as powerful, while also reducing costs in heating, power, maintenance, and risk.
