Using ETL for Redshift to Visualize the Customer Journey with Data

LiveRamp, a San Francisco–based identity platform in marketing and advertising with about 1,200 employees, needed to stitch together siloed marketing, sales, product and finance data to visualize the complete buyer journey. Facing distributed teams, varied data formats and strict data governance/PII concerns, LiveRamp selected Matillion’s Matillion ETL for Redshift to provide a centralized, cloud-native solution for transforming and integrating their data.

Working with Slalom, LiveRamp used Matillion ETL for Redshift to build a scalable cloud data lake, enforce governance/security, and create an intuitive UI for workflows and transformations. Matillion enabled a centralized dashboard consolidating up to 20 data sources, cut time-to-insight from 1–2 days to near-instant, delivered conversion-rate metrics in under five minutes per metric, and spurred adoption by three more teams across the business.
