Case Study: Eposability achieves rapid, scalable BI and improved profitability with Matillion

Robust, metadata-driven business intelligence

Eposability, a London-based hospitality IT consultancy serving over 200 companies and 36,000 daily users, needed a simpler, scalable way to turn large volumes of orders, accounts, menus, staff and payment data into actionable insights. Their existing Power BI dashboards had limitations, so Eposability selected Snowflake as the cloud data warehouse and Matillion — specifically Matillion ETL for Snowflake — to address data movement and transformation needs.

Using Matillion ETL for Snowflake alongside Snowflake (implemented with Altis Consulting), Eposability built a metadata‑driven BI pipeline that cut data warehouse refresh and Power BI extraction from >30 minutes per client to under 3 minutes total, enabled single-client dashboards with row‑level security, and made onboarding new clients a matter of minutes with dashboards available the next day. Matillion’s incremental loads, rollback and error-management features helped Eposability self-manage the solution, scale on demand, and embed business logic in ETL so a single version of the truth is served to Power BI.
