Red Classic Transportation worked with Matillion to improve the timeliness of its data in Snowflake. Daily refreshes were not enough, and limited audit and change tracking in the source systems made it difficult to track changes, including deletes, while also adding complexity to ELT error handling.

Matillion helped Red Classic Transportation build a process that identified the right tables and variables, used the MSSQL row version system updated column, converted it to BIGINT, and loaded tables into a persistent storage layer with load dates for auditability. The result was data freshness improving from up to 24 hours stale to 15 minutes, processing times dropping from nearly an hour to under 10 minutes, and a 99% improvement in data availability and 83% improvement in data processing times.
