Philip Morris International wanted to build a Data Platform as a Service framework to support an open digital data platform for the enterprise and individual markets. To do that, it needed an ETL solution to onboard market data into the platform and establish a federated operating model.

With Matillion, Philip Morris International developed a ready-to-use common ETL framework for almost 200 data engineers and could automatically provision services for each new market, ingest data, and ensure correct storage with full audibility and traceability. Matillion helped PMI establish a DPaaS framework across all markets with one monitoring and alerts system, standardized architecture patterns, unified access to data management services, and advanced analytics capabilities.
