Mutual of Enumclaw Orchestrates Snowflake Data Cloud with Matillion

Mutual of Enumclaw, a regional insurance company, faced a complex modernization challenge: more than 40 on‑premises databases (DB2, SQL Server, mainframe) needed to be reengineered into a Snowflake Data Cloud on AWS to improve reporting and operational efficiency. To orchestrate and automate ingest, validation, and transformation across this environment, Mutual of Enumclaw selected Matillion, using Matillion ETL for Snowflake as the orchestration and data‑loading engine.

Matillion orchestrates and automates MOE’s data flows—scheduling jobs, sharing metadata, and triggering event‑based processes—and handles full loading, validation, and transformation for complex use cases like the Nucleus policy management system (raw JSON → S3 → Matillion validation → Snowflake staging → business logic → curated tables). As a result, Matillion now manages movement and transformation from 10 on‑premises databases into Snowflake, runs shared jobs across other solutions, and supports the company’s continued migration to Snowflake and expanded analytics.
